Henry Leavenworth was an American soldier active in the War of 1812. He established Fort Leavenworth in Kansas and gave his name to the city of Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, and even THE Leavenworth Penitentiary. His name also represents the Henry Leavenworth Elementary School, and a bit further north, Leavenworth Street in Omaha, Nebraska. What a guy! What a name! Thanks Wikipedia!
