That'll Be The Day

And on this day, February 3rd, known across the world as the day the music died, Kinfolk is excited to announce our creative partnership with The Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX! We love the music and the stories. We are fascinated by the people, places, and communities Buddy Holly influenced and was influenced by. Seeing our design work help promote the legacy of Buddy Holly is an honor.

We are also proud to be a small part of this amazing organization where art and music work in concert to entertain and educate. The Center collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts relevant to Lubbock's most famous native son, Buddy Holly, as well as to other performing artists and musicians of West Texas. Check out this biographical timeline covering Buddy and his life from 1936–1959 on the Center’s website.

IT'S A CRAZY FEELIN’ — And it's got us reelin’ when we think about how cool it’s been working on this project. I think nothing but Buddy’s music was streamed throughout the studio for weeks while we created this collection for the fine folks at the BHC. Shop these tees and Kinfolk made merch exclusively from their gift shop online or in-person when you visit! The Buddy Holly Center — Online Store
