304 Oak Street

Well… we did it. Yep, we are building the VERY FIRST Kinfolk store in historic downtown Bonner Springs, Kansas! We are so excited to watch our space transform over the next several months and even more excited to meet you all IN-PERSON! Brick-and-mortar is backwards to many folks but for us it’s everything. A physical gathering space for YOU (the explorers) and a chance for Kinfolk to be part of your Kansas experience. And don’t worry, our online store is open 24/7/365 and ready for you when you need us!

The building was originally constructed in 1910 as the Masonic Temple Annex and designed to support retailer B.L. Swofford’s Dry Goods. Their booming mercantile on main street needed more space so the Masons opened the sidewall with an arched transom and added 2,000 square feet of storefront. Lucky for us the building has remained open to the community for over 110 years! This is the PERFECT space for Kinfolk. We wanted so badly to be located in a historic building in a small town along the Kaw Valley where we were raised.

Follow along with us on Instagram @kinfolkcreated for more photos and stories about the transformation. Thank you and see you soon!
