WHO DO YOU FIGHT FOR?

Avery is a fighter, both on and off the softball field. At just 14, she was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, but she’s tackled every challenge with the same determination and heart that she brings to the game. Now, she’s halfway through treatment and staying strong with a positive mindset.

To help with medical expenses, Avery designed this special T-shirt inspired by her love of softball. It features one of her favorite quotes from Babe Ruth..., “Every strike brings me closer to the next home run.— On the front, you’ll find the phrase “Who do you fight for?” — a space where Avery can sign her name for you at a special meet-and-greet, or you can personalize it yourself with the name of someone you fight for. This interactive design is a way to bring us all together, showing that no one fights alone.

Join Avery in the fight. Wear your shirt with pride and stand beside her as she rounds the bases toward recovery!

Avery’s Softball Journey: The Heart Behind the Shirts

Avery has loved softball since the moment she first stepped onto the field in 2021. But her love for the game runs much deeper than that—it’s in her blood. Her grandpa grew up playing baseball, and his passion for the sport sparked a love in Avery’s mom. Her dad also played competitively and passed that same fire down to Avery. Softball isn’t just a game to her; it’s a part of who she is. Over the years, Avery has played for three teams, each shaping her into the player—and the fighter—she is today.

🥎 The Bluejays – Where it all began. Avery fell in love with the sport while playing alongside her best friend, winning league titles, and getting her first taste of tournament ball. One of her favorite memories? Her team dominating a tournament so well that they got to shave their coach’s beard as a victory celebration!

🔥 KC Confidence – The team where her dad became her coach, strengthening their bond and pushing her to grow into the player she is today. This team taught her resilience, teamwork, and the power of overcoming challenges together. Confidence wasn’t just a team; it was a family.

💙 Team KC – Avery was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma very shortly after Team KC welcomed her with open arms. Even though they haven’t known her for long, they’ve been some of her biggest cheerleaders—celebrating when she makes it to practice, checking in on her, and even coming to visit her at home. Their unwavering support means everything during this journey.

Now, as Avery fights her biggest battle yet, she’s bringing the same determination and heart to the field of life. That’s why she designed this special fundraiser T-shirt—because she knows no one fights alone. Every strike, every setback, brings her one step closer to her next home run. And with the love of her family, friends and supporters like you, she’s ready to keep swinging. Avery’s love for softball and her fighting spirit inspired these shirts, but they also represent something bigger—the fight against Ewing sarcoma. We know that many people may not be familiar with this rare cancer, so we encourage you to learn more and help spread awareness. Here are some resources to better understand Ewing sarcoma and the challenges patients like Avery face:

Mayo Clinic: Offers an overview of Ewing sarcoma, including symptoms, causes, and treatment options.

National Cancer Institute: Provides detailed information on Ewing sarcoma treatment protocols and ongoing research.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia: Discusses Ewing sarcoma in children, covering diagnosis, treatment, and support resources.

Through every inning of this journey, we have been surrounded by an incredible team—our family, friends, and Avery’s coaches and teammates, both past and present. Your love, support, and encouragement mean the world to us. Whether you’ve sent messages, checked in, helped in big or small ways, or simply stood by us in this fight, we are forever grateful. Thank you for being part of Team Avery and for reminding us that no one fights alone.
