BACKSTORY:
Welcome to "The Springs!" Originally settled back in 1812 as the first European trading post in the state, Bonner Springs (then named "Four Houses") sat nestled among the rolling hills on the northern edge of the Kansas river. This waterway provided both steamboat traffic and a ferry crossing while the railroads welcomed visitors and commerce to the area. The people stayed and became the heart of Bonner Springs, one of the oldest cities in the sunflower state, incorporated in 1898!
