FIELD HOUSE

FIELD HOUSE

from $30.00

The 1935 American novel Little House on the Prairie was written by Laura Ingalls Wilder and based on her childhood growing up in the American Midwest. The book tells about the months the Ingalls family spent on the prairie of Kansas, around the town of Independence. During the early 1980s, the television series Little House on the Prairie was loosely based on the Little House books, and starred Melissa Gilbert as little Laura and the great Michael Landon as her father, Charles Ingalls. This show was a favorite of our family, probably because we didn’t have cable television and this was on primetime. Ha!

Did you know that John James Ingalls, the man who coined our Kansas State motto, Ad Astra per Aspera, was a second cousin of Charles Ingalls, Laura’s father? Now you know! (And you can grab that shirt as well over here!)
